Creative Mann

Tara Mann is a textile artist, specialising in felting, dying & sewing using wool, cotton, linen & silk. Tara lives in the Hunter region, becoming a full-time artist and launching her new business “Creative Mann” in 2020.

I would like to share my art to a wider audience and would appreciate the opportunity to showcase my art in this online market. I have a collection of selected felted vessel forms, dyed silk scarfs and broches to show you. “I just love creating new things using natural fibres, upcycled and reused materials – my practice is environmentally sustainable, II enjoy giving materials a new life.

I’m a fourth-generation textile artist, I have been creating and selling textiles now for over 30 years. My work is not mass produced, all my pieces are individual and unique. I’m into craftsmanship - one-off pieces. I work organically, with care. My creative process is not rushed, no two ieces of my work are the same. The textures, colours and form of my work are all individually unique. I endeavour to source local quality materials when creating including my felted vessels.
