The Big Wool Show - Introductions!

What's big, woolly, and happening in July? Of course, you know it's THE BIG WOOL SHOW!

Let's get crafty together! Over four big days, The Big Wool Show will bring you all the best of our in-person shows online! Join us from 17-20th July and support your favourite woolly stallholders - and discover some new favourites too.

Now, let's get some introductions underway and meet some of our official sponsors!

Hello and welcome to Happy Hank where you will find luxurious woolly goodies for all your knitting and crocheting project needs. Every Happy Hank is dyed by hand with love and care in small batches by Sai in her home based studio in Bendigo, Australia.

All yarn bases are sourced from ethically and sustainably grown fibre. Every effort is made to ensure that all processes in creating and sending out each Happy Hank are as environmentally friendly as possible.

We hope you can find something you love in our shop. Happy Making!

Nestled in the hills overlooking the Latrobe Valley, Heather melds her scientific skills with her love of colour and creativity to create Heathermaid yarns and patterns.

Heathermaid is known for specialised self-striping yarn, as well as high quality semi-solid, variegated and speckled colourways. Heather loves to experiment in her home studio surrounded by the inspiring landscapes, and her cheeky Alpaca friends. As a knitter, Heather initially struggled to put the right combinations of colours together. This challenge led her to closely research colour theory, learning the rules - and then having fun breaking them!

The colours in Heathermaid yarns are drawn from the natural world around us, and through her dyes Heather tries to capture some of the bright blossoms, stunning birds and landscapes and translate them into colourful fibre art.
